Opportunities
Applications for the Future Impact Group are open and will close on September 21st. “Join a research group for a 12-week, part-time fellowship to help you develop an impactful research career. Spend 5-10 hours a week making a difference while getting valuable research experience working on the world's most pressing problems. We focus on global issues where research can potentially have an outsized impact, and where we can attain excellent mentors to support junior researchers.”
Enveritas is looking for a frontend engineer to join their team. “We're a 501(c)3 non-profit with a mission to improve the livelihoods of coffee farmers around the world. Our approach is to gather data about coffee farmers and the coffee supply chain, and then use that data to inform where investments can be made to improve the sustainability and quality of life for coffee farming communities. We gather data by visiting farmers all over the world, administering in-person interviews, and then scoring and aggregating that data. You can think about this data in a similar way to maps like this one, which uses our data to show the percentage of coffee farmers who live below the poverty line in Colombia.”
