Announcing: Abundance House, a New Residency for Social Impact Founders
A sanctuary for deep work and a home for meaningful connection
Today, we are delighted to share the launch of Abundance House, a 6-week residency in Lake Tahoe for 12 founders building companies that benefit the world.

Our Mission
We believe that the world’s most important problems will be solved by founders who are both deeply dedicated and deeply supported.
But modern founder life is often the opposite: fragmented, reactive, and isolating. It’s easy to get caught in a loop of context-switching, constant urgency, and shallow connection. The result? Burnout, tunnel vision, and too many brilliant ideas left under-resourced.
Abundance House exists to change that.
We’re creating a space where founders can experience what’s often missing: long stretches of uninterrupted focus, genuine connection with peers, and an environment that nourishes both the mind, body, heart, and soul. A place where ambition and well-being are not in conflict, but part of the same rhythm.
Our aim is to give founders the structure, space, and support they need to build with clarity and courage - because we believe that when you take care of the person building the company, the company is better for it. And so is the world.
The Structure
During the day, Abundance House is a monastery for focus. Quiet mornings, structured work blocks, and the kind of uninterrupted concentration that’s hard to come by in daily life. It’s a cloistered sanctuary for deep work, flow, and deliberate practice. Whether you're fundraising, designing, coding, hiring, or reflecting on big strategic decisions, this is time set aside to go deep.
In the evenings, Abundance House becomes something else entirely. We gather for shared meals, fireside chats, and moments of real connection. It becomes a space for intimate drop-ins, collective soulcraft, and conversations that reshape your path. Think storytelling, emotional / relational inquiry, and the kind of friendships that are built not just on professional alignment, but on shared values and midnight belly laughs.
This isn’t just a space to build your company, it’s a place to build your whole self.
The People
Abundance House is for founders who are working on what matters most to them, and who see that as a craft, not a chore. The cohort will be made up of thoughtful, mission-driven founders building companies in areas like climate, education, mental health, governance, and beyond. Some will be early in their journeys, others may be years in, but all will share a deep sense of purpose and a drive to create meaningful impact.
These are people who think long-term, ask hard questions, and care deeply - not just about what they’re building, but how they’re building it. They’re not interested in hype for hype’s sake. They’re committed to building things that last, and to growing in the process.

The Details
The residency will take place in a beautiful 10-bedroom home in the mountains of Lake Tahoe, surrounded by pines and open sky. The house is spacious, comfortable, and designed for both focused work and relaxed connection. There’s lightning fast Wi-Fi, shared work areas, cozy nooks for solo time, and a giant dining room table for group dinners every night. The house has a sauna, hot tub, heated pool, home theater, and private bedrooms for most residents, and it’s located minutes away from trailheads that lead to breathtaking views (see photos below). All meals will be provided, and we’ll have a private chef preparing delicious, nourishing dinners each night throughout the residency so that you can focus entirely on your craft, not what’s for dinner (though you’re welcome to join us and help in the kitchen if you want!).
The application process starts with a 10-minute written form - no pitch deck or video required. Just tell us who you are, what you’re building, and why this residency feels right for you. Applications are due by August 20th, but we’ll be reviewing them on a rolling basis, so the earlier the better. Selected applicants will be invited to a Zoom conversation over the following days, and the final cohort will be finalized by August 30th.
As for the cost, we believe in mutual value exchange, not fixed price tags. We operate on a "pay what you feel is fair" model. That could mean paying in cash upfront, offering a small equity stake in your company, making a pledge of future earnings, or contributing $0 if that's what feels right for your situation. We’re not here to extract from you - what matters most to us is that each participant is genuinely invested in the experience, and that the exchange feels fair and honorable on both sides.
